Adjuvant cancer therapy:

Treatment before and after surgery

Hyperbaric medicine helps a lot before and after surgery.

The effect of the therapy is that the body becomes hyper oxygenated. When tissue and cartilage are subject to scalpel, blood vessels that carry (vital) oxygen to the surgical site are damaged. It may appear swellings and bruises (accumulation of excess fluid in the tissues) as the body’s natural reaction to trauma and prevention of diffusing the oxygen into the damaged tissue. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy speeds up the healing by additional intake of oxygen to the cells.
